Sardar the 24 years old from India, currently residing in London takes a leap of faith to join the mountain music event in Albania’s northern alps on December 16-17th.

“ Venturing into the Balkan region had always intrigued me, a curiosity that deepened after meeting some laid-back and amazing people from the Balkans in London. Their stories about Albania sparked my interest, and from my tiny London apartment, I began contemplating a winter break adventure. Echoing Beats caught my eye while I was checking out events happening in Albania, especially after glimpsing the vibrant photos from their previous gatherings which further strengthened my interest. ”

Resonating with Albania’s stories and nature he makes the decision to go on a journey on country never been before.

“ Without second thoughts, I booked flights, a hostel, and soon found myself in Tirana, welcomed by warmth and kindness. The city was a delightful mix of good people, great food, and excellent beers. I met my fellow ravers behind the Opera house on Saturday and was really excited for the journey ahead. The journey through snow-laden Kukes was breathtaking until a twist at the Kosovo border. ”

On Saturday December 16th the vans heading to Valbona pass through Kosovo as the safer and fastest road. Facing some Visa document issues at the border the police officers make a surprising decision.

“Unexpectedly denied entry, I bid farewell to fellow ravers but was determined to reach the event. Help came unexpectedly—a restaurant owner, few kids, a kind stranger, and the resilience to overcome setbacks.”

On Saturday afternoon Sardar finds himself in Kukes determined to not take the road back but follow the mountain call.

“Although Sunday’s lack of buses tested my resolve, a few stranger’s generosity and guidance ensured I reached the mesmerizing Krojet e Rrogamit for the event’s second day.”

“The sub-zero mountain rave, the people, and the music were nothing short of magical. Gratitude filled me as organizers orchestrated an unforgettable experience.  To return without crossing Kosovo, Adi Demi connected me with the organizers, one of them shared his car ride back to Tirana.

The journey immersed me in Albanian culture, making my entire Albanian escapade an extraordinary adventure.”
